Salon/Spa Levels

The primary goals of our Salon Level System within Strands Salon and Spa is to provide a career path of growth and achievement for team members and to offer several options for our guests to meet their diverse needs when it comes to salon services. Guests may choose the technician/level that compliments their requests from skill set to education, and budget.

All technicians, regardless of prior experience, attend the Strands Salon and Spa Associate Training Program prior to working hands-on with our guests. Strands Salon and Spa certifies the stylists in our Principle-Based Design (hair cutting techniques, hair coloring, and styling) and product knowledge to ensure they can offer the highest level of service and experience.

This program guarantees quality control within our organization as we pride ourselves on our advanced education and believe this is what sets us apart from others in the beauty industry.

Our menus display a "Starting At" price for services, as our team of designers is classified by availability, education, and demand. You may schedule an appointment for a complimentary consultation (select stylists) to get an exact cost. Based on availability, education, and demand we offer 7 Different levels for you to choose from.

Associate level

This is a recent graduate currently undergoing our 6- to 12- month Associate Training Program.
During this period, they are assisting Certified Strands Salon and Spa Educators in order to learn advanced skills, improve efficiency and learn our specific Strands Salon and Spa procedures, while servicing their own guests (models) a few hours per week. They are concentrating on hair and nail services (depending on location), as well as hair
extensions, and becoming "Brazilian Blow Out Specialist". Anyone that is part of the Strands Salon and Spa Team must undergo the same training process.



New talent

A stylist who has completed their initial Strands Salon and Spa Training under our Certified Strands Salon and Spa Educators.
After completing our Strands Salon and Spa Associate Training Program, our hair stylists graduate to New Talent Service Providers. Prices for a New Talent Stylist's services are less than any other level due to their short amount of time in the industry. A New Talent Stylist is NOT someone who is recently licensed cosmetologist, but rather someone who is new to our salon, offering beautiful and budget friendly services.



Level 1

A stylist who is developing their artistry in all Principle Based Design haircuts and color techniques, who have completed at least one year at the New Talent Level.
Once our service providers build up a steady clientele, as well as other career goals, they get a promotion to the next level.
Service providers in this level usually have 2-3 years of experience.



Level 2

A stylist who has developed their design and coloring skills, working to produce outcomes out of artistry.
This individual has gone through additional training and certifications in most Principles.
These stylists have been with Strands Salon and Spa for 2-3 years and are in the process of mastering all the Strands Salon and Spa educational classes.



Level 3

A stylist who has been certified in all of Strands Salon and Spa Principle Based Training.
These stylists have completed at least 250 hours of continuing education through in-salon training and attendance at approved continuing education classes.
They have worked closely with the Artistic Director to move ahead with their career in the and are being prepared to mentor and educate New Talents through the Strands Salon and Spa Educators Program and assist with in-salon education.
These stylists have been with Strands Salon and Spa for at least 3-4 years.



Level 4

These are our advanced stylists and designers. Who are certified as a specialist in all three principles: cut, color, and styling. They have completed the Strands Salon and Spa Educators Program and help to train/mentor new team members.
These stylists have been with Strands Salon and Spa for 4-5 years.


Level 4A

These stylists hold management positions within the salon and are advanced with techniques.
They are specialists in all of Strands Salon and Spa Principles and are senior educators that develop and train new educators. This level is also responsible for certifying our specialists and also organizing all continuing education and assisting with related duties.
Level 4A stylists have been with Strands Salon and Spa for at least 6-7 years.


Level 4AA

s reserved for our most experienced and in high demand service providers in our salon. They are well-known for their work, have reached rigorous goals and met our education and skill requirements. These stylists are your Salon Directors and artistically guide the entire team and take appointments by request only. Our 4AA Stylists are also part owners within the salon. 
These are the most sought-after hairstylists in the salon not only because of their very advanced education level but also because of their well-known reputation in the community.
Service providers at this level usually have 10+ years of experience and have been with our salon for at least 8+ years
